The Voice of Jannah by Hafsa Kapadia

The Voice of Jannah by Hafsa Kapadia

All praise is due to Allah. Peace and blessings be upon the Final Messenger, the Mercy to the worlds, Muhammad ﷺ, and upon all who follow his path in righteousness until the end of time.

Jannah (Paradise) is the home we all seek, yet it also seeks us. It is a beautiful and lush realm, eager to welcome its inhabitants. Its soil is fertile and nurtured by our remembrance of Allah and our acts of worship. Every step we take toward Paradise is an investment in our eternal abode. Paradise is not merely our final destination—it is our true home, the everlasting home to which our souls long to return.

A central part of the Islamic tradition is to motivate believers toward righteous deeds through reminders of Paradise. These reminders take many forms. In this particular series, the authors adopt a unique approach: poetry written from the perspective of Paradise itself, longing to meet its future residents. The aim of these poems is to awaken the heart, nurture a deep desire for Paradise, and inspire sincere striving toward it.

These poems originated as part of our Jannah video series. At the conclusion of each episode, after my explanation of the topic, a poem would appear from Paradise’s perspective, capturing the essence of the message. The response was overwhelmingly positive; the poems resonated deeply with viewers and proved so uplifting that they merited publication in their own right. This book is the result of that compilation.

The authors have produced an exceptional work. Each poem carries layers of meaning and reflects descriptions of Paradise drawn from authentic hadith. The language evokes hope, optimism, and joyful anticipation, encouraging readers to strive earnestly for the reward of Jannah.

I pray that this book inspires you as profoundly as it has inspired me, and that you find in its words greater comfort and healing than you ever imagined. I ask Allah to reward the authors and all those who contributed to bringing this work to fruition.
