How glorious is Allah! The Qur’an proclaims His glory, the angels celebrate it, and the entire universe bears witness to it. To utter subḥānAllāh is to join all of creation in affirming the perfection and transcendence of our Lord. In a hadith recorded in Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, the Prophet ﷺ described this phrase as more beloved to him than “all that the sun rises upon.” To be alive, to witness the beauty of the world, and to proclaim the glory of Allah is among the greatest blessings bestowed upon us. Simply by repeating this phrase one hundred times in a day, Allah promises either the removal of a thousand sins from one’s record or the addition of a thousand good deeds.

One of the most beautiful expressions of subḥānAllāh is in moments of awe at the wonders of creation. When you behold a radiant sunset, let it stir your heart to glorify Him. Keep this precious remembrance upon your tongue as you walk through a forest, soar above the clouds, or pause to admire a single flower along your path. Signs of His majesty and perfection surround you in every moment and every place—so join the universal chorus in declaring subḥānAllāh in the morning and in the evening.
